Yes, Chelo's Brick & Stone works with builders and general contractors on new construction and additions, handling the masonry scope: brick or stone veneer, chimneys, foundation work, and retaining walls, while the GC manages the rest of the build.
On a new build or addition, masonry is usually one piece of a larger schedule that a general contractor is coordinating: framing, roofing, siding, and masonry all have to land in the right order. We work off the plans the architect or GC provides, bid the masonry scope, and schedule our part to fit around the other trades on site.
That scope covers a range of work depending on the project: brick or stone veneer on a new house, a masonry chimney built as the framing goes up, a foundation or retaining wall for site grading before the slab pours, or foundation parging once the block foundation is in. Each of those still gets built to the same standards, footing depth, mortar type, drainage, as a standalone job would.
We're glad to work directly with a builder's project manager or superintendent rather than going through the homeowner on every detail, and we can provide a bid off plans before a project breaks ground.
